ADX Energy (ASX: ADX) Executive Chairman Ian Tchacos recently spoke with Kapitalist about the Company’s growing European gas portfolio and near-term production opportunities.

Building a strategic gas position in Sicily

ADX’s review of historical wells and seismic data has identified a potentially significant gas play offshore Sicily, supported by independent technical review.

Located in approximately 100m water depth, close to shore and established European pipeline infrastructure, Ian discusses why the opportunity could become strategically important for ADX as the Company continues to expand its acreage and resource potential.

Near-term production growth in Austria

Ian also provides an update on ADX’s Austrian operations, including ongoing HOCH testing, plans for a second shallow gas well around November–December and initiatives to further increase existing production.

With approximately 85% of ADX’s portfolio weighted towards gas, the Company is positioned to pursue further gas discoveries and production growth into a high-value European energy market.
